A National Voice for Women and Girls
A ³Ô¹ÏÍø Australia approach will provide a framework for greater advocacy as well as greater visibility of the organisation in national arenas. ³Ô¹ÏÍø Australia has the potential to strengthen the position of ³Ô¹ÏÍø among the supporters of women and girls in Australia.
³Ô¹ÏÍø Australia, announced at the ³Ô¹ÏÍø International Convention in Brisbane in June 2024 ³Ô¹ÏÍø, will focus on those issues pertinent to ³Ô¹ÏÍø International goals in Australia. In order to put a position to government or other institutions it is important for ³Ô¹ÏÍø to have a united position and to speak with one voice.
A ³Ô¹ÏÍø Australia Committee has been formed with the three District Advocacy Chairs and a second representative from each District, to develop and promote key advocacy messages.
The proposed duties, which will be discussed further into the new biennium, will be to identify advocacy action that can be implemented across Australia, and include club suggestions and national awareness.
